Basara

Post by Lnhiang on Fri May 16, 2008 11:32 am

The story started with a little girl looking out into the sand. the village was preparing for her twins brother b-day, because her brother was name as the boy of destiny. But on that night, the red kind and his army came into Sasara (the girl) village and a boy was killed in Tatara (boy of destiny) place, because he claim to be the boy of destiny. A couple year later, the red king found out he killed the wrong person and came back to their village.
If you don't like sad, or tragedy story, don't read this manga. But this manga take place in history time. That what I like about this manga.

I love this story! But I can't find scans for past volume 20, and I'm too lazy to order them off amazon.com...

Sarasa is amazing, she seems real... I love Aghea, although he does get annoying much of the time with his cryptic hints.

At first, I didn't like this manga....but once you start reading it, you get sucked into the story and you just want to continue reading it. Good thing this series is completed, even in English version, because it's a long series and long series are addicting. I hate coming to the climax and having to wait for the next volume. The story is adventurous so our main character is constantly on the move. Poor Sarasa, she has to sacrafice soo much.

Oh a great story thought a little violent and poor Sarasa keeps getting in 'uncomfortable' situations. I just had to read the manga (or at least summaries of it) because the anime was so unjustly short. The mangaka just created a wonderful world with intriguing characters. It's a good action/romance - two genres that don't usually mix well.

Basara is good for its plot though it is quite long. But I really didn't like much the drawings...

The drawings are a bit different and a bit "rough". But the storyline is so well done that it's ok. It is a wonderful manga with heaps of different characters.

This is one of the best manga I know, the drawing is not the best but the story did a well done job in mixing the politics and reality into a shoujo manga. It was like half manga, half a novel to me. I really like the 7 Seeds manga of her too.

this story is so entertaining, how the two main enemies fall in love to each other unknowingly... and then how they support each other... it's very romantic

I love this story and the author. The main hero and heroine are such a likeable characters. The story itself kinda remind me of romeo and juliet ^^
