Your favourite books

Post by kujika on Mon May 12, 2008 6:03 am

Well, since some time ago I started reading lots of romance/fantasy/supernatural series. So my Top list will contain some of them.

Laurell K. Hamilton (only the first 7 books of Anita Blake)(supernatural)
Robin D. Owens - Summoning Series(fantasy)
E. Vaughan - Chronicles of the Warlands(fantasy)
Emma Bull - War For the Oaks(supernatural)
Martine Leavitt - Keturah and Lord Death(supernatural)
Wolfgang von Goethe - Faust I
Frederica de Cesco - most of her books(romance)

Tell me your favourites^-^ The genre doesn't matter, but please mention it.

Keturah and Lord Death is an amazing book!! No one ever knows about it though...

My favorite books:
Twilight and New Moon - Stephanie Meyer (Eclipse was good, but not as good)
Poison Study, Magic Study, Fire Study - Maria V. Snyder
Cast in Shadow, Cast in Courtlight, Cast in Secret - Michelle Sagara (known as the Elantra series)
Grave Suprise, Ice Cold Grave - Charlaine Harris
Eragon - Christopher Paolini (Eldest was good, but not as good. I hope Brisinger is better)
Vampire Acadamy, Frostbite - Richelle Mead
Wicked Lovely - Melissa Marr (the sequel, Ink Exchange, is pretty good as well)

I know that there's more, many more, but I'm too lazy to go to my room and look.

Wow. Favorite books...
Right now, I'm really enjoying the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan (and have been for the past three years...dude, this is taking forever to read). I also pretty much adore anything by Charles Dickens or Jane Austin. Another series I had to make sure I took a few books of to college is the Diskworld books by Terry Pratchett. I'm currently in the middle of rereading "Thud!".

my fave is definitely the Lord of the Rings series but if you like twilight (which I dont... how ghastly I know...) the Gemma Doyle series is in the exact same vein.. only much better. look for A Great and Terrible beauty and from then on i think you'd be hooked ***

I've read the Gemma Doyle series and I beg to differ. It drags a LOT and there are huge plot holes. And the third book was a major let down. I was so angry at the end...
